Larsen Sets Record In Mustang Win

The Newell-Fonda girls basketball team improved to 8-0 on the year with an 87-58 win Monday night at OA-BCIG.

Olivia Larsen scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out six assists, and set a new school record with 13 steals in the game.

The previous record for most steals in a game was ten by Susan Kies.

The Mustangs Jenna Coppock drained 7-of-9 shots from behind the arc leading four players in double figures with 21 points.

The Mustangs were 12-for-29 from the arc and had a total of 26 steals in the game.  They will play again Friday at Carroll-Kuemper.
