A Storm Lake man charged in late August after police were dispatched to 700 Hudson Street to investigate a disturbance has been sentenced.
Officers were told 19-year-old Victor Kilmete allegedly physically assaulted his father and was destroying property in the house. Police entered the home and found Kilmete with blood on him. He allegedly lunged at an officer and a physical confrontation began.
Kilmete was charged with assault on a peace officer causing injury, an aggravated misdemeanor… interference with official acts causing injury, a serious misdemeanor… and domestic assault, a simple misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty to interference with official acts and domestic abuse assault. Kilmete was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and ordered to pay 670-dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
