Burglaries Investigation Arrests

Three men have been arrested after a three-month investigation into area burglaries.
According to the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office, area law enforcement executed three search warrants. Two were executed in Laurens, and one in Pocahontas.
Those arrested were 32-year-old Jeremy Stoulil of Pocahontas, 62-year-old Mark Hawley of Laurens, and 33-year-old Hale Hawley of Laurens.
Stoulil was charged with five separate counts of 3rd degree burglary. Mark Hawley was charged with 4th degree theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hale Hawley was charged with 3rd degree burglary, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were charged in Pocahontas District Court, and booked into the Pocahontas County Jail. The investigation continues, and more criminal charges are expected.
Other agencies involved in the investigation include the Pocahontas Police Department, Laurens Police Department, West Bend Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team, and the Pocahontas County Attorney’s Office.
