An investigation by Estherville police has resulted in the arrest of a man on multiple charges.
Police say it stems from a report they received last Friday of possible child abuse involving a two-year-old girl. The child was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police searched an apartment in Estherville, where they found drug paraphernalia and prescription pills.
The suspect was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Thirty-year-old Kenny Peaches of South Saint Paul, Minnesota was charged with interference with official acts, neglect of a dependent child, child endangerment with bodily injury, child endangerment, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Peaches was jailed on a 20-thousand dollar bond. Authorities say he was also wanted on a warrant from Ramsey County, Minnesota.
