A Cedar Rapids woman faces charges after Storm Lake Police Monday night were dispatched to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Emergency Room to meet with a victim of an alleged assault.
The victim told police he was a student at Buena Vista University… and another student, 20-year-old Alissa Good of Cedar Rapids… allegedly threatened him with a knife and physically assaulted him at White Hall. The victim said he owed Good money… and she confronted him about the money while displaying a knife. He alleges she physically assaulted him several times and at one point threw the knife at him, striking his leg. Other students had to physically pull Good off of the victim.
Good was located on campus and taken into custody without incident. University security located the knife and turned the weapon over to police.
Good was charged with going armed with intent, a class “D” felony… two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor… and simple misdemeanor charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Good was jailed on a five-thousand dollar bond.
