A Fort Dodge woman arrested in April when she was stopped by Storm Lake Police for a traffic offense in the 500-block of Lake Avenue has been sentenced.
Police allege the driver… 56-year-old Lorrie Ann Breeden of Fort Dodge… was operating the vehicle while under the influence of an unknown substance. Police located a small amount of meth and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Later it was searched, and police seized a prescription tablet and a stun gun.
Breeden was charged with second-offense OWI, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of meth, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to have insurance, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
Breeden pleaded guilty to OWI and was given a two-year suspended sentence and placed on probation for two years. She pleaded guilty to possession of meth, and was sentenced to seven days in jail. Breeden was ordered to pay 36-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
