Two drug arrests were made in Clay County after authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in Spencer on Thursday.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner, 57-year-old Tracy Campbell and 31-year-old Jaydee Carney were charged. Carney was found to have an active warrant for his arrest in Cherokee County. He was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Campbell was charged with Possession of Methamphatamine, Marijuana, and Psilocybin, and Drug Paraphernalia, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and seven counts of Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, all serious misdemeanors…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor…along with Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a class D felony.
Carney and Campbell were taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.
The Spencer Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force were also part of the investigation.
