Two wanted persons were arrested over the weekend in Storm Lake.
At approximately 12:30 Saturday morning, a Storm Lake Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of East 7th Street for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as 47-year-old Jesus Garcia Coronado of Storm Lake. It was determined Coronado was wanted out of Mendocino County, California on warrants charging him with Possession, Transporting, and Selling Marijuana, and was further wanted for Failure to Appear in Court for Immigration Violation.
Coronado was arrested without incident, and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 30-thousand dollar bond, awaiting extradition back to California.
A wanted person was located by Storm Lake Police at 1:25 Saturday morning at 106 East 10th Street.
Police located and arrested 28-year-old Jesse Peter of Storm Lake, who was wanted on warrants issued by Storm Lake Police, charging him with 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, a class D felony…and 5th Degree Criminal Mischief, a simple misdemeanor.
The warrants stemmed from an incident on October 7th when Peter allegedly damaged property at a residence at 714 Russell Street.
Peter was booked into the county jail on a five-thousand dollar bond.
