Two Storm Lake men were arrested after Storm Lake Police were dispatched to a reported fight at 22 South Windsor Circle at approximately 8:20 on Sunday night.
Upon arrival of officers, they observed two adult males, allegedly engaged in a fight. Police ordered the two men to let go of each other and intervened in the fight. The men, however, continued to fight, and then turned and began fighting with officers. Police took the men to the ground, where they were subdued and taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Police identified the men as 20-year-old Leeson John, and 18-year-old Perten John, both of Storm Lake.
Following an investigation, Storm Lake Police charged Leeson John with Interference With Official Acts Causing Injury, and 2nd Offense Public Intoxication, both serious misdemeanors…and Disorderly Conduct, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a one-thousand dollar bond.
Perten John was charged with Interference With Official Acts, Public Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct, all simple misdemeanors. He was booked into the county jail on a 300-dollar bond.
A Storm Lake Police Officer sustained minor injuries in the fight, but did not require medical attention.
