On October 19 at approximately 4:15pm, at E 12th St. and Lake Ave. in Storm Lake, a vehicle driven by Deborah Merten of Storm Lake, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Warren Hansen of Marathon. The two vehicles collided causing total damages estimated at $700.

On October 19 at approximately 3:55pm, in the 1300 Block of Lake Ave. in Storm Lake, a vehicle driven by Ruth Freese of Alta, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Earnest Clayton of Early. The two vehicles collided causing total damages estimated at $4000. Clayton was cited for Fail To Yield Upon Left Turn.

On October 19 at approximately 3:01pm, at 1009 Richland in Storm Lake, an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Kevin Hanson of Storm Lake, which caused Hanson’s vehicle to hit another parked vehicle owned by Rodolfo Chacon-Sosa of Storm Lake. Total damages were estimated at $1200.

On October 17 at approximately 11:35am, in the 1300 Block of Lake Ave. in Storm Lake, a vehicle driven by Judith Skibsted of Storm Lake, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Charles Nelson of Alta. The two vehicles collided causing total damages estimated at $300.

On October 20 a theft was reported in Storm Lake. Total items missing were estimated at $5000.

On October 17 a theft was reported in Storm Lake. Total items missing were estimated at $20.

On October 16 a theft was reported in Storm Lake. Total items missing were estimated at $100.

On the afternoon of Thursday, October 19, 2017 at approximately 1:47pm the Storm Lake Fire Department responded to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in reference to an automated fire alarm.
Upon arrival of fire fighters it was determined that a patient inadvertently activated the alarm.
There was no fire and no damage.
The fire department was on scene for approximately 10 minutes and was assisted at the scene by the Storm Lake Police Department and BVRMC Security Staff.
