The Buena Vista County Community Foundation announces their 2017 Fall Round of Grants.
The deadline for turning in applications in the Fall 2017 round of grants is 12:00 P.M. (Noon) on Thursday, November 22nd, 2017.
Grants can be mailed to the Foundation at P.O. Box 771, Storm Lake, Iowa 50588 or they can be dropped off at the Storm Lake Public Library (609 Cayuga Street) in Storm Lake, Iowa. Any grants not received and in hand by 12:00 P.M. on the 22nd of November, 2017 will be returned and not considered in the 2017 Fall round of grants.
The Buena Vista County Community Foundation seeks to provide grant funding to local not-for-profit groups in Buena Vista County whose project will help to make Buena Vista County better in some way. Grants are given for capital projects but not for operational programming.
There will not be a grant writers workshop for this round of grants. Tips and tricks will be posted regularly on the Foundation’s Facebook Page www.facebook.com/bvccf. In addition, individuals and groups interested in writing a grant should review our webpage and “like” us on Facebook as we will be putting up reminders and tips in both locations. Please watch our Facebook page and our webpage for information on a possible Facebook Live Q&A Session during the round of grants.
The Buena Vista County Foundation’s web page at www.bvcountyfoundation.com has additional helpful resources for grant writers in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the webpage.
Funds granted through the grant program must benefit Buena Vista County residents and/or organizations. Applicants must be a 501.C.3 organization or a governmental or educational organization such as a City, County, or Community School District or utilize a fiscal agent.
In addition to their grantmaking side, the Buena Vista County Community Foundation is a great way for individuals and families to leave a legacy for future generations. For more information, contact the Buena Vista County Community Foundation by email at email@example.com.
