Coach’s comments, “It was a soggy night on the State’s Cross Country course in Fort Dodge. Our kids came to compete against some of the best runners in the state consisting of 14 – 4A teams. This is a challenging course in less than perfect weather. So to get your best time of the year is quite an accomplishment. We had 9 runners accomplish that. I was very proud of how we performed tonight. The girls finished 13th and hung with the big dogs. St. Edmonds is a very fine #8 ranked 1A team. They were definitely a team on our radar. The boys also recorded some good times. I was very pleased with our mental toughness and focus. Hopefully, it will pay off at the end of the season. Coach’s recipients of the “Most Outstanding Performer” awards are Jessica Flaherty, Kirah Kolpin, and Kalie Gaes. and Kirah have taken off huge chunks of time in the past few meets. We will try to keep the positive vibes going at Ida Grove on Monday.”
