PAC-LM Cruises To 15th Win

The Pocahontas Area/Laurens Marathon girls basketball team rattled off 24 straight points to open the game on their way to a 90-26 win over Storm Lake in Pocahontas on Friday night.

The Indians put up 48 1st quarter points, and had 70 by the half.  PAC-LM was led by Elle Ruffridge with 27.  Grace Meyer followed with 18, and Faith Meyer contributed 13.  The Indians made 12 threes.  Jocelyn Johnson was given the Wells Ag Supply of Fonda Player of the Game, hitting three from downtown for her 9 points.

Jenna Neumann had a team-high 8 for Storm Lake, followed by Nya Molout with 7.  Storm Lake is now 2-14.  The Tornado teams play a Lakes Conference double-header Friday night at Cherokee starting at 6:15.  Those games will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA, and will also be video streamed on our website.

#2 ranked in 3A PAC-LM is now 15-1.  The Indians teams earlier in the evening swept Southeast Valley in a makeup double-header, with the girls winning 83-17, and the boys were victorious 74-56.
