An investigation into a two-vehicle collision on January fifth in Emmetsburg led to the arrests of two people on forgery and drug charges.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Kendra Lynn Van Lo of Archer was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device, leaving the scene of an accident ,and failure to prove security against liability.
A passenger, Nikarra Macmain of Ashton, was charged with harrasssment of a public official. Macmain was also arrested on a warrant out of Harrison County for forgery and identity theft. Macmain was also wanted on warrants out of O’Brien County for five counts of forgery and providing false identification… and wanted on a warrant out of Woodbury County for a probation violation and possession of marijuana. Bond was set at 16-thousand dollars.
Authorities determined Van Lo was wanted on a Palo Alto county warrant charging her with one count of forgery. Bond was set at five-thousand dollars.
In a separate investigation, Macmain was additionally charged with three counts of forgery for allegedly writing three bad checks at the Casey’s General Store in Emmetsburg, and seven counts of forgery for allegedly writing bad checks at the Fareway store in Emmetsburg.
Macmain was also charged with four additional counts of identity theft. Van Lo was additionally charged with one count of forgery.
