Southeast Valley scored the last 28 points of their 36-7 win over East Sac County in Wall Lake.
Nolan Brand got Southeast Valley on the board first with a 4th down and goal 6-yard touchdown pass to Dakota Jaeschke, and a two-point conversation try was successful afterward.
The Raiders responded with a 60-yard touchdown drive, which ended on quarterback Sam Scott’s 13-yard run, and Cameron Slagle’s point after made it 8-7 with 10:13 to go in the 2nd quarter.
From there however, the Jaguars took control, as on the ensuing drive, Brand threw a 49-yard touchdown pass on a screen to Aaron Swieter on a 3rd and 13 play, and Swieter soon after had an 8-yard TD run to make it 22-7 at the half.
After the Raiders turned the ball over on downs in Southeast Valley territory in the opening drive of the 3rd quarter, they went three and out on their next four possessions. Brand hooked up with Jaeschke again, this time on a 29-yard touchdown, and Kyler Jondle provided the last score of the game on a 16-yard run.
Unofficially, Southeast Valley (3-2, 2-1 2A district 7) had 398 yards of offense, compared to 156 for the Raiders. Dylan Baumhover had five receptions for 34 yards, and Trevor Aschinger ran 12 times for 63 yards.
East Sac drops to 1-4, and 1-2 in the district, and will visit Shenandoah next Friday.
