The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed replacement of the highway three bridge over the North Raccoon River in Buena Vista County.
The bridge is about two-and-a-half miles east of highway 71, and the drainage ditch that is about three-point-three miles east of highway 71. The proposed project provides for replacing the existing North Raccoon River bridge with a 150-by-42-foot continuous concrete slab bridge, and replacing the 36-by-30-foot bridge over drainage ditch 34 with a 12-by-11-by-122-foot reinforced box culvert.
Traffic will be maintained throughout the projects. More information in available on the DOT’s website.
