The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting this Thursday, April seventh, to discuss the proposed improvements to highway 71 from the Buena Vista County line north to Clay County Road B-53.
Highway71 traffic would be detoured during construction. For the south portion of the project area, highway 71 traffic would use Clay County B-63, Clay County M-54, and Iowa Highway 10. For the north portion, highway 71 traffic would use highway 10, Clay County M-36, and Clay County B-53.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at The American Legion Building at 200 Main Street, in Sioux Rapids. The meeting will use an open forum format. DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
