A man wanted on a valid Palo Alto County warrant for violation of a no-contact order was arrested late Wednesday afternoon.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Riley Morton was originally charged with attempting to disarm a peace officer, a class “D” felony. He was jailed on a five-thousand dollar bond.
Two juveniles face charges in connection with some recent break-ins at the Ruthven Public Library.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says the library was broken into multiple times in early March. Authorities say a investigation resulted in the arrests of two male juveniles, who’s names weren’t released. One was charged with one count of third-degree burglary… the other was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary.
Both were cited in juvenile court and were released to the custody of their parents.
