Police Blotter

On the afternoon of Sunday, February 21, 2016, at approximately 1:47pm, the Storm Lake Fire Department responded to Otsego Place Apartments located at 520 Otsego Street in reference to an automated fire alarm.
Upon arrival of fire fighters they determined that a small child accidently activated an alarm pull station on the second floor.
There was no fire and no damage.
The fire department was on scene for approximately 10 minutes and was assisted at the scene by the Storm Lake Police Department.

On the morning of Saturday, February 20, 2016, at approximately 12:51am the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to 116 Cayuga Street #2 in reference to a report of an intoxicated male knocking on the apartment door.
Upon arrival of police they located the person allegedly doing the knocking standing in the apartment complex parking lot and identified him as Danian Romero Irias, age 23, of Storm Lake.
Police learned that Irias was wanted out of Buena Vista County on a warrant for Contempt of Court reference OWI. Police further allege he was heavily intoxicated.
Following an investigation the SLPD arrested Irias on the outstanding warrant and further charged him with Public Intoxication (simple misdemeanor). He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.

On the morning of Saturday, February 20, 2016, at approximately 10:11am, the Storm Lake Police Department responded to 1208 Seneca Street in reference to locating a wanted person.
Upon arrival police located and arrested Kelly Jo Adams, age 38 of Storm Lake, who was wanted by the SLPD on a warrant charging her with Theft 5th Degree (simple misdemeanor) in connection with an insufficient funds investigation reported by Lucht Housing.
Adams was booked into the county jail on a $300.00 bond.

On the evening of Friday, February 19, 2016, at approximately 7:15pm, the Storm Lake Police Department responded to 210 East 13th Street in reference to locating a wanted person.
Upon arrival of police they located and arrested Caleb Hendricks, age 23 of Storm Lake, who was wanted by the SLPD on a warrant charging him with Theft 5th Degree (simple misdemeanor) in connection with an insufficient funds investigation at the Fareway Store.
Hendricks was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $300.00 bond.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
