Prep Golf Results From Tuesday 5-9-23

The Storm Lake boys golf team finished 5th at their 3A sectional tournament played Tuesday at the Spencer Golf and Country Club. The Tornadoes carded a 329 and were led by Charlie Dvergsten who shot an even par 72 and will now advance as an individual to the district tournament Monday, May 15th at Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City.

MOC-Floyd Valley won the meet with a 301, Spencer was 2nd with a 314.

Other scores for Storm Lake were Brody Boeckman and Carson Lullmann with 85, Cam Boyd 87, Jake Eddie 91, and Jayden Butler 100.

The Storm Lake girls golf team played at Moville on Tuesday and shot a 231. Medalist was Alta-Aurelia’s Maggie Bloom who shot a 49. Runner up was Maddy Raveling with a 51.

The Saint Mary’s golf teams hosted Sioux Central Tuesday at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek. The Rebel girls won the dual with a 237 and Kendra Casey was the medalist with a 44. The Panthers low rounds were from Maddie Fiorendino (runner up medalist) and Natalie Green with 52’s.

The Panther boys shot a 210 and beat the Rebels by nine shots. Lane Carlson was medalist with a 43 and John Heitman was runner up with a 53.
