The East Sac County boys basketball team avenged a regular season loss to OA-BCIG, as they downed the Falcons 60-47 in a 2A district game in Manning. A Riley Paysen buzzer-beating three tied it at 13-13 after the 1st quarter. The Raiders took the lead early in the 2nd quarter, and never trailed after that point, leading 27-20 at half. The Falcons got within four early in the 3rd, but East Sac built their lead to as much as 13 later in the 2nd half. Two bench players keyed the Raiders win, as freshman Levi Olhausen had four threes and 14 points, while sophomore Sam Scott hit three threes and had 12 points. Cameron Wernimont chipped in with 11. Jacob Luft had 21 points for the Falcons, including five threes, and Conner Christensen had 15. Other Falcons seniors include Parker Rasmussen, Darian Ernst, and Alex Dewey. OA-BCIG finishes at 10-11. The Raiders have now won 10 of their last 14 games, as they go to 11-10. East Sac will play in Manning again on Thursday in a district semifinal against Ridge View at 6:30pm, which will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA. The other semifinal will feature Carroll Kuemper, as they beat Missouri Valley 63-49 in the opening district game on Monday. Kuemper will play IKM-Manning in the nightcap Thursday.
