Panther Hoops Sweep WBM On Senior Night

A nice way to play your final home game for the Saint Mary’s seniors.  The Panthers hosted West Bend-Mallard Tuesday night, the girls won 55-49 and the boys made it a sweep with a 67-51 victory.

In the girls game, the Panthers trailed at the half 25-22 but they scored 22 points in the 3rd quarter to grab a seven point lead going into the final quarter.  Riley Lenhart scored 14, Trisha Lenhart had 13 and the Panthers won their 4th game of the year and will now play at MMC tomorrow night in the opening round of the 1A tourney.  Game time at Marcus is 7pm and the game will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA.

 

The Panther boys exploded for 27 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 41-26 lead at the break.  Their 19 point lead early in the 3rd quarter was cut to five at the end of the stanza.  The Panthers would seal the deal sinking some 4th quarter free throws.  Josh Demers scored 18, Aaron Miller had 17 and Michael Demers chipped in with 10.  Saint Mary’s, now 5-15, will conclude the regular season Friday night at East Sac County, the game will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA
