The Ridge View girls basketball team jumped out to a 10-0 lead and wound up leading throughout in their 44-34 win over Storm Lake St. Mary’s Monday night in Schaller.
The Raptors led by as many as 14 in the 1st half, and were up 25-14 at half. St. Mary’s got as close as seven late in the 3rd, but Ridge View got the lead as high as 17 in the 4th. The Raptors were led by Emily Egger’s 10 points, as they are now 8-11. The Panthers were led by Riley Lenhart with 11, as they fall to 3-17.
The Ridge View boys are now 16-3 after beating St. Mary’s 66-53. Both teams had hot shooting in the 1st quarter and a half, but a 15-0 Raptors run put Ridge View up by 11, and they led by eight at the half, and the Panthers got no closer than five after that. There were 15 total 3’s in the game. Jackson Graff connected on three of them for the Raptors, and had a game-high 22 points. Eric Broich led St. Mary’s with 18, including four 3’s, as the Panthers drop to 4-15.
