A new school year is almost here and the Storm Lake Music Boosters are preparing for the annual Beach Party.
The Storm Lake High School Music Beach Party is scheduled for Thursday, August 23rd in downtown Storm Lake from six to eight p-m. Beach Party patrons will be able to choose either a six or eight ounce steak dinner grilled by the Buena Vista Cattlemen Association. There will also be a hot dog kid’s meal available too. Carry-out is available.
In addition to the steak barbeque, various carnival games will once again fill the 600 block of Lake Avenue. Games include the human jukebox, ring toss, knock-out and the toilet paper toss. Students are encouraged to dunk their favorite teacher at the dunk tank. Jumping Jupiter will have an inflatable bounce house for the younger children. Snow cones designed personally by the customer from over 25 different flavors will be available. Curt and Connie Reis will supply the music for the festivities.
The annual event gives the music students an opportunity to meet and thank the community for their support of the Storm Lake Music programs. In case of bad weather, the Beach Party will be held at the United Methodist Church.
