The number of motor grader routes on Buena Vista County roads this winter will be reduced by one… but engineer Jon Ites doesn’t believe it will be a tremendous change.
Ites Tuesday told the Board of Supervisors he plans to reduce the number of motor grader routes from the present 14 to 13… and when the next motor grader operator retires, the position probably won’t be filled. He says the change will increase the average motor grader route from 54 miles to 58… and the routes will be realigned. He says the secondary roads department is also planning to sell a 1986 model motor grader this winter.
