An Arkansas man… arrested last August in connection with a bank robbery in Storm Lake… has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Forty-year-old Levi Jeffrey of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was arrested last August 22nd after a bank was robbed in Pottsville, Arkansas that possibly matched the same method and vehicle used in a robbery at Northwest Bank in Storm Lake on July 27th of last year.
Jeffrey was charged with second degree robbery, a class “C” felony…second degree theft, a class “D” felony, and fleeing the state to avoid prosecution, a class “D” felony. Jeffrey has a previous bank robbery conviction out of Harrisonville, Missouri in October of 2002.
Jeffrey pleaded guilty to second-degree theft, with the other charges dropped. He was sentenced to five years in state prison… to pay 79-hundred dollars restitution… pay 33-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs… and to pay legal fees and jail restitution.
